The majority of Malabar fabrics are made using time-honored methods, which cannot be re-created using power looms. The fabrics are yarn-dyed in hanks to give superb color yield, and then hand-woven on floor looms. Malabar collections include curtain and upholstery weight fabrics in rainbow colors, often inspired and created in far-flung areas of the Indian subcontinent.
