Michele Hausman is a painter of natural landscapes, mostly of areas in California. Her work reflects the impressionist tradition of painting on location and capturing the mood of the scene. She works from a primary palette to keep her colors clear and bright. "The human eye is an amazing tool, for which a camera is a weak substitute." Learning to match color and its value to what is seen in a landscape or still life is an ongoing challenge that keeps Michele painting.
